Climbing Outing for the Whole family

North Bend is known for its rock climbing...if you or someone in your family has always wanted to try outside climbing, this is your chance! The donor (Heather Kern, CVES counselor) has over 15 years of experience rock climbing and has taken many "beginners" (kids and adults) out for their first outdoor climbing experience.

What: Top Bid wins a 1-day (4-6 hrs. on a Saturday or Sunday) climbing outing for the whole family in the North Bend area.

Experience needed? None at all! We will teach you all safety and basic climbing skills and will put you on a route that fits your abilities. Try it!

Gear needed: comfortable exercise clothing, tennis shoes for approach hike, lunch, water, small backpack; all climbing gear will be provided (need to know shoe and waist size in advance).

Physical skills required: the ability to hike approx. 30-45 minutes uphill; we don't need to go fast but you should be able to hike about 1 mile; you do not need a lot of upper body strength for climbing!

The Fine Print: This is not a professionally guided trip. The donor will be your "rock climbing host and coach". Although she is very experienced and will provide a safe and fun experience, she is not a certified climbing guide. Rock climbing is inherently dangerous; Participants will sign a waiver and accept all risks associated with climbing.
