The Cascade View Elementary School Parent-Teacher-Student Association is a non-profit, tax-exempt membership association. We are members of the Snoqualmie Valley PTSA Council, Washington State PTA, and the National PTA. Collectively, we are part of a powerful voice for all children with nearly 6 million members working on behalf of the nation’s youth, schools and communities through effective advocacy, strategic alliances, educational programs, support and parent resources.
Our Goals at CVES:
- Maintain grants to teachers’ classrooms.
- Support Field Trips at prior year levels.
- Provide monetary support to the school in the case of a shortfall in Instruction Assistant hours funding.
- Maintain membership at 100%.
- Improve communication to members through launch and development of new, PTSA-owned website and the distribution of a useful, concise directory to all PTSA members by November.
- Increase general meeting participation by varying meeting times and accommodating small children.
- Increase student involvement through invitation of ASB reps to present their work at our general meetings.
- Provide affordable, safe, engaging after school enrichment programs; create and implement Enrichment program guidelines for vendors at our school.
- Continue to support the school’s emergency preparedness supply levels.
- Work with the school’s Green Team to improve our school’s recycling rate to 50% by reducing paper use and encouraging online communication.
- Create a small school garden for teacher and student use and beautify the school grounds through our Teacher Appreciation program.
- Promote healthy minds/healthy bodies through support of programs like Jump Rope For Heart and the installation of more outdoor equipment for the school.
- Celebrate our 5th Anniversary with a possible school art installation.
- Host a district wide parenting workshop.
- Provide funds for school-wide assemblies.
