It's time to start fundraising! Our Cubs in the Wild Walk-A-Thon is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we need YOU!
We know your plate is already full with work, carpools, activities, and all of the things. That’s why we’ve made it easy! It only takes a few minutes to share your child’s fundraising link with family and friends. These dollars make a real difference for our kids and go directly to support student programs, field trips, teacher resources, 5th-grade camp, school wide events, and all the extras that help make school memorable.
And because our Cubs deserve to feel celebrated, students will also have the chance to earn fun prizes and school wide incentives!
Volunteer with Us! Walk-A-Thon day is on September 30th. We promise a day filled with tons of fun, and a little excitement! Will we FINALLY get our sunny walkathon day?! It takes many helping hands to pull off an event with over 420 students, so please join us! PTSA members get first access to volunteer signups so join today! Our Cubs have spoken! We’ve heard feedback from students and families that one of our current playground structures is dated and ready for an upgrade.
This year, our $55,000 Walk-A-Thon stretch goal gives us the chance to kick off a bigger, multi-year effort to bring new playground equipment to CVES. If we reach our stretch goal, a portion of Walk-A-Thon funds will be dedicated to the project, helping us take an important first step toward making it happen.
A playground project of this size is expected to cost approximately $75,000–$80,000, so this will take more than one fundraiser and more than one year. Reaching $55K won’t mean a new structure appears right away, but it will mean our school community has officially started building toward it.
Let’s rally together, reach that stretch goal, and start creating a playground our Cubs are excited to play on for years to come!
